Darren Sharper - Minnesota Vikings

Sharper is in the final installment of the four-year contract he signed in 2005 to leave Green Bay. He has now played 11 seasons, and been selected for the Pro Bowl four times. So it's perfect time to take a closer look at some of his greatest career moments so far.

Darren Mallory Sharper was born on November 3, 1975, in Richmond, Virginia. Sharper graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1997, where he played with future Pittsburgh Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin.

Darren was selected in the second round of the 1997 NFL draft by the Green Bay Packers. After that, he spent his first eight NFL seasons with the Packers. Sharper's first season provided a valuable learning experience. His rookie campaign ended with two interceptions and three touchdowns.

He was selected for the 2006 Pro Bowl, after coming second in the league in interceptions for that season. During the Vikings' November 11, 2006 loss against the Miami Dolphins, Sharper bumped a member of the officiating crew, but he was not immediately penalized. Later the following week the NFL announced that it would be fining him $10,000 for the infraction.
